I had honestly the best experience ever. I haven't purchased a "new" used car in over 8 years! I did not think I would be using the 30 day return policy but wound up finding a better pathfinder that was much nicer for not much more. They transferred it in no charge to the easton location even took care of some minor things that were wrong before I took possession!
Overall it was super painless. Everyone there was extremely friendly! I will be recommending them to everyone I know and will definitely use them again when looking for a car! 10/10!!!
Be warned. Make sure you check the carfax before purchasing your vehicle. I did not (that was my fault)
Back in October 2020 I purchased a Subaru Impreza here. I loved the car and the purchase went smooth. After a day or two I noticed the driver door sounded “hollow” and I had a few other things I asked them to check out. They gladly did. I asked if the drivers door had ever been replaced. They said it hadn’t, it was the original door and the sound was normal.
Fast forward to January 2024. I’m selling the car and the dealership pulls up the carfax. It had moderate damage to the front, side and roof that was never disclosed to me. Also meant the driver’s door was probably replaced.
I didn’t have the worst experience here, that’s why they still get 2 stars. But do your research. They won’t disclose everything to you. I came in thinking CarMax was here to help and was on my side. I guess not.
I didn't buy a car here but I sold one. Was insanely easy. They honored my online quote and I arrive and got paid out within the hour. Easy in and out. If you want tk avoid the hassle of selling cars on local classifieds, give them a shot.
I came in expecting that my cash offer would get chewed down from what was emailed to me, and was pleasantly surprised that the exact dollar amount was honored. The rep I worked with (I think his name is Manny) was very nice, too, and very professional.
Not happy at all, they wasted my time. Never relayed the information that I need full coverage for a full test drive. The sales person kept on pushing for me to buy the car on the spot, when I clearly explain to him that I’m looking to do a 24 Hour test Drive. Now they won’t refund my hundred dollar transportation fee.
It took 3 weeks and 3 different people but I eventually left with a car I Love and the people didn't give up no matter how hard I made getting paperwork done. The employees were friendly. Thank you Harmon, Jesse, and Dan for putting up with me. 1 thing I would suggest is if you have to go back for another visit try to make your appointment then so that you can have the same associate help you. I didn't realize I had to request the same person for my next visit.
These guys are TERRIBLE. Their agent gave me a business card with an extension that does not exist. I called back and asked them to tell the guy I spoke to, to call me back. He never did. I called all over the place and spoke to 4 more people and they all gave me conflicting info. I only had 7 days to find a car to match the car I wanted to turn in. Took me 7 days to do it and almost missed the deadline.
This is how the car-selling experience should be! We recently upgraded my wife's ride from a 2022 Acura MDX to a 2023 Lexus GX. I knew I could do better than the dealer's trade-in offer so I began searching for the best place to sell the Acura quick. I went through 5 of the biggest online used car dealers. Out of them all, Carmax was the highest offer by a couple thousand. I had never been to a Carmax before and based on their high offer, I was expecting some form of runaround. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised with the entire experience at Carmax. No runaround, no shenanigans. They quickly test drove and inspected the car and they agreed to the online offer price. Admittedly, the car was recently detailed and in immaculate condition. I would recommend this to anyone looking for top dollar for their used vehicle. Manny was my advisor and I found him to be very personable and friendly. I will definitely be back for sure!
